GLSEN Hudson Valley is a chapter of the Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network (GLSEN). We have sub-chapters in Westchester and Ulster, and also work in Orange, Duchess, Rockland and Putnam Counties. Please see our contact information above for the various areas.
Nationally, GLSEN works to ensure safe schools for ALL students, regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity. There are 36 Chapters in the U.S., which work closely with the national staff of GLSEN to implement programs and share resources in our local schools. We provide teacher and student presentations and provide a high school leadership program, called Jump Start.
Our chapter is entirely volunteer-based. Our Board of Directors meet on a monthly basis. We are always looking for new volunteers to help us ensure safe schools for all students.
