In 2005, following the marriages and the initial Pride March & Festival in New Paltz, a group of 25 courageous individuals took it upon themselves to create the Center and a lasting legacy for the thousands of LGBTQ residents of the Hudson Valley. Before its doors opened to the public, this committed group began the monumental task of giving the Hudson Valley LGBTQ Community Center a permanent home in uptown Kingston, NY.
